ABOUT US

    We specialise in building conservation, restoration, and architectural design. We believe that design is an ever-evolving process and is at the heart of our work. Our emphasis is on detailed, sensitive execution to ensure justice to the built form and its context. Our work philosophy is based on a multidisciplinary approach. We are committed to exploring all aspects of design, from interventions at urban scale to design at micro scale along while embracing sustainability.

    We live in a multicultural land with a myriad of architectural styles and techniques. Over the years, our built heritage has been struggling to keep up with the modern infrastructure and changing lifestyle, the biased attention and careless attitude inspired us to take up the challenge to restore and conserve.

    As a young practice, we endeavour to evolve culturally and sustain indigenous knowledge. Every day brings a new challenge, our motivation comes from the astonishing stories, traditions, artefacts, craftsmanship, and details that instil importance in the built environment.

Ar. Sharayu More

Founder and CEO

Principal Conservation Architect.

   Sharayu is a Conservation Architect based in Mumbai. She pursued her B.Arch from BVCOA, (Mumbai University) and a MSc in Heritage Conservation from the University of Strathclyde, UK. After gaining exposure in the industry, she founded her practice in 2021. Soon after graduation, she worked with Abha Narain Lambah Associates where she contributed to several landmark projects across Mumbai and other states. To gain on-site exposure, she joined Savani Heritage Conservation Pvt Ltd, where she worked on comprehensive restoration of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya with Vikas Dilawari as the Consultant. Sharayu grew up within the historic neighbourhoods of Mumbai and she seeks to undertake diverse and exciting projects in the heritage sector, nationally and internationally.

   Mr. Chandrashekhar Raghunath More, is a Qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, Practising since 1992. He has an expertise in raising funds for Corporate and Non-Corporate entities. He has in depth knowledge of compliances under various statutes and is also an expert in all commercial laws in India. He has good resources to raise CSR Funds and equity funds for Conversation projects.He takes care of all the legal and finance aspects for SMA.

    Ranjit Patil is a Civil & Structural Engineer with a rich experience in Architecture, Construction, Heritage Conservation and Restoration sector for over forty-five years. He is adept at finding revolutionary design solutions to structural issues in historic structures. He has been a part of SMA since August 2021 and has been mentoring our young crew of Architects.

    Neha is a Landscape Architect adept in planning, designing and building sustainable outdoor spaces. She is also an architectural writer & an avid gardener. Neha pursued B.Arch from Mumbai University in 2016 and M.Arch (Landscape) from SSAA in 2019. She is working as a landscape consultant with us since 2021.

Arch from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Hyderabad in 2018. She has over four years of industry experience and has been associated with us since 2022.
