The Freemasons Hall is located on Damodardas Sukhadwala Marg, along
the grand D. N. Road in Fort, Mumbai. It is a grade II-A listed structure.
Freemasons is a fraternal organisation established in the late 16th-17th
century in Scotland and England and travelled to India through the East
India Company in the early 18th century. It has great significance and
serves as the headquarters of the District Grand Lodge of Bombay. It is
an exceptional example of colonial architecture graced with symbolic
ornamentation and an abundance of minute architectural details.
SMA’s scope of work includes detailed documentation of the structure,
condition mapping and assessment, brief estimation, project report
preparation, obtaining heritage approvals from MHCC and supervision
of work execution.
