Scope : Architecture, Interior and Landscape Design.
Located in the hill station of Lonavala, this mud resort conceptualises
the essence of rural architecture with the simplicity of an authentic
Indian village. The envisioned structures will employ locally available
materials and rural methods of building to create spaces that would
induce a sense of tranquillity for guests. At the heart of the resort lies
the amenities block with a pool and a sprawling lawn. The open space
will also double up as an event space.
From the reception area, the meandering pathways mark the beginning
of a sensory architectural experience. The planting grove between each
cotage provides for a visual screen and privacy. Every cotage is
designed in an earthy colour palette with minimal furnishings and
sophisticated interiors. The exteriors also celebrate the traditional Warli
art made by local skilled craftsmen.
