The Shri Harnarayan Math was constructed in the memory of Swami Harinarayan with his samadhi made in front of the temple. There are no written records of the temple but as per the locals and the resident poojari’s family the temple is said to be 375 years old. It is said to be built by Shivaji Maharaj for Swami Harinarayan. Swami ji was born around 400 years ago in Satyapuri village. He took his samadhi while meditating in Benwadi where he lived for several years.
